Why EPDM for Beading and Profiles?
EPDM is the standard rubber for outdoor and weather sealing:
- Weather Resistance: withstands sun, ozone and heat common in the Gulf
- Water Tightness: seals windows, doors and enclosures against dust and water
- Flexibility: stays elastic across a wide temperature range
- Durability: long service life outdoors without cracking
Applications
- Window and curtain wall glazing beads
- Door, cabinet and panel seals
- Electrical enclosure and control panel gaskets
- HVAC ducts, units and access panels
- Container, vehicle and cold-room doors
- Expansion joints and edge trims
Limits
EPDM is not suitable for petroleum oils, fuels or most hydrocarbon solvents. For oil exposure choose NBR or neoprene. See our NBR rubber page and Neoprene Rubber Sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Is EPDM beading suitable for outdoor use in Saudi Arabia?
A. Yes. EPDM has excellent UV, ozone and heat resistance, making it suitable for outdoor sealing in the Gulf climate.
Q2. Can EPDM be used with oil?
A. No. EPDM swells in petroleum oils and fuels; use NBR or neoprene where oil contact is expected.
Q3. Can you supply custom EPDM profiles?
A. Yes. Send a drawing or sample and we will confirm the profile and quote.
Q4. What is the difference between solid and sponge EPDM?
A. Solid EPDM is denser and more durable; sponge EPDM is softer and compresses easily to seal uneven gaps.
