Work out the weight of any plastic or rubber sheet, rod or tube in seconds. Choose the material, enter the size in millimetres and the calculator gives the weight per piece and for your full quantity. Use it to plan transport, check a supplier’s quote or size a crane lift.
Weights use typical material densities and nominal sizes. Actual weight can vary by about ±3% with grade, colour and machining tolerance.
Weight (kg) = volume (mm³) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000,000.
Example: a UHMWPE sheet 2000 × 1000 × 20 mm weighs 2000 × 1000 × 20 × 0.93 ÷ 1,000,000 = 37.2 kg.
Diode Trading EST stocks and machines UHMWPE sheets and rods, PTFE (Teflon), nylon, POM, HDPE, PP, PVC and other engineering plastics, and rubber and polyurethane sheets in Dammam, with delivery across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Press Add to quote above to send us your sizes, or see our technical datasheets.
Densities vary slightly by grade, colour and filler, and sheets are usually supplied slightly oversize. Expect a difference of about ±3%.
Polypropylene (0.91 g/cm³) and UHMWPE (0.93 g/cm³) are the lightest common engineering plastics. Both float in water. PTFE is more than twice as heavy at about 2.16 g/cm³.
