Key Benefits of Silicone Rubber Sheet
- Widest Temperature Range: stays flexible from very low temperatures up to around 200°C
- Clean and Inert: suitable for food and pharma when food-grade is specified
- Weather Resistance: resists UV and ozone
- Electrical Insulation: good dielectric properties
- Compression Set: recovers well in static gaskets
Applications
- Oven, dryer and autoclave door seals
- Food and beverage processing gaskets
- Pharmaceutical equipment seals
- Heat-press and laminating pads
- Lighting and electrical enclosure gaskets
- High-temperature flange gaskets for low-pressure duty
Limits
Silicone has lower tear and abrasion resistance than many rubbers and is not suitable for petroleum oils, fuels or high-pressure steam. For oil service choose NBR; for abrasion choose natural rubber or polyurethane.
