Sizes: Range of widths and diameters on spools; contact us for your size
Service Temperature: Approx. -200°C to +260°C
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to almost all industrial chemicals
Note: Figures are typical; confirm exact grade, size and rating with our team

Why Use ePTFE Joint Sealant?

  • Formed in place: laid around the bolt holes on site, so no cut gasket is needed for large or odd-shaped flanges
  • Very soft: seals uneven, warped and damaged flanges at low bolt load
  • Chemical resistance: the same chemical resistance as solid PTFE
  • Fast maintenance: one spool covers many flange sizes

Applications

  • Large-diameter and non-standard flanges
  • Glass-lined, FRP and plastic equipment
  • Heat exchanger and vessel covers, manways and hatches
  • Ducting, fans and blower housings
  • Valve bonnets and pump covers

Tape or Cord?

Flat ePTFE tape suits flat-faced flanges and covers; the self-adhesive backing holds it in place during assembly. Round cord suits grooves and irregular joints. Overlap the ends at a bolt hole rather than butting them, and follow the flange manufacturer’s torque guidance.
