Bronze Filled PTFE Round Bars: Properties
Adding bronze powder to PTFE (typically 40% by weight in our standard grade) changes the material in ways that matter for moving parts. Bronze filled PTFE round bars and rods are chosen where virgin PTFE would creep or wear too quickly under load.

Limitations to Check
Bronze reduces PTFE’s chemical resistance: the filler can be attacked by strong acids and some alkalis, and it makes the material electrically conductive and dark in colour.
