Why PTFE (Teflon) Tube?
- Chemical inertness: carries aggressive chemicals without attack or contamination
- Non-stick bore: media flows cleanly and residues do not build up
- Temperature range: from cryogenic to around 260°C
- Electrical insulation: used as insulating sleeves
- Machinable: moulded tube is used as blanks for bushes, seals and rings
Applications
- Chemical transfer and sampling lines
- Liners and sleeves for pipes and equipment
- Blanks for machined bushes, piston rings and seals
- Electrical insulation sleeves
- Laboratory and instrument tubing
Extruded or Moulded Tube?
Extruded PTFE tube is made continuously, so it suits thin walls and long lengths for tubing and sleeves. Moulded PTFE tube is pressed and sintered in larger, thick-wall sizes and is the usual blank for machined rings and bushes. Tell us the inner and outer diameter, length and grade.
