Electrical & Insulating Rubber Mats – Product Details
Electrical insulating rubber mats are dielectric floor coverings laid in front of switchboards, transformers, motor control centres and distribution panels. They protect personnel from electric shock by isolating them from earth while working on or near live equipment. Mats are produced to IEC 61111 (Class 0 to Class 4) or ASTM D178 (Type I / Type II) and are tested for dielectric strength, proof voltage and flame resistance.
Diode Trading EST is a supplier and trader of electrical insulating rubber mat in Saudi Arabia. We stock insulation rubber sheet in Saudi Arabia in standard roll widths and thicknesses, and can supply high voltage insulation mat in KSA with manufacturer test reports. Mats are available in plain, fine-ribbed and diamond-pattern finishes, in black, grey or safety-orange colours.
- IEC 61111 Class 0 (1 kV), Class 1 (7.5 kV), Class 2 (17 kV), Class 3 (26.5 kV), Class 4 (36 kV)
- ASTM D178 Type I and Type II insulating matting
- Thicknesses from 2 mm to 12 mm, roll widths of 1.0 m and 1.2 m
- Plain, fine-ribbed and diamond anti-slip surfaces
- Flame-retardant and oil-resistant grades on request
- Supplied by the metre, full roll or cut to room length
- Applications: switchgear rooms, substations, MCC rooms, generator sets, test benches
Where it is used:
- Power substations and switchgear rooms across the Eastern Province
- Oil, gas and petrochemical plants in Jubail, Ras Tanura and Yanbu
- Hospitals, data centres and commercial buildings in Riyadh and Jeddah
- Desalination and water utility plants
- Industrial factories with motor control centres and distribution panels
Which class of insulating mat do I need?
Match the mat class to the working voltage of the equipment. For low voltage panels up to 1 kV, Class 0 is typical; for 11 kV switchgear, Class 2 or above is used. We can help you select the class.
Do the mats come with test reports?
Yes. Manufacturer dielectric test reports to IEC 61111 or ASTM D178 are supplied with the material on request.
Can I get the mat cut to my room size?
Yes. We supply by the metre from the roll or cut to the lengths you specify.

Where can I buy insulation rubber sheet in Saudi Arabia?
Diode Trading EST supplies it from stock in Dammam and delivers across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
What is the difference between IEC 61111 and ASTM D178?
Both are standards for electrical insulating matting. IEC 61111 uses Class 0 to 4 by working voltage; ASTM D178 uses Type I and Type II by material and Class 0 to 4 by voltage.
Is the mat anti-slip?
Fine-ribbed and diamond-pattern surfaces give slip resistance. Plain surfaces are also available.
How thick should an insulating mat be?
Thickness follows the class rating; higher classes need thicker mats. Common thicknesses are 3 mm for Class 0 and up to 12 mm for Class 4.
