Skirtboard & Abrasion Resistant Rubber – Product Details
Skirtboard rubber is a soft, high-elongation natural or SBR rubber strip fitted along the loading zone of a belt conveyor to seal the gap between the chute and the belt. It prevents material spillage and dust while being soft enough not to groove the belt. Abrasion resistant rubber sheet is a tougher grade with low abrasion loss (typically 100 mm³ or less under DIN 53516) used for lining chutes, hoppers, bins and screens where impact and sliding wear are high.

What hardness should conveyor skirtboard rubber be?
Skirting is normally 40–45 Shore A so it seals against the belt without damaging the cover. Harder grades are for wear liners, not skirting.
Do you supply skirting as pre-cut strips?
Yes. We slit rolls into strips of the width and length you specify, or supply full rolls.
Can abrasion resistant sheet be bonded to steel chutes?
Yes. Sheets with a CN bonding layer are available for cold bonding to steel, or we can supply plain sheet for mechanical fixing.
