Diode Trading EST supplies polyurethane cast parts in Saudi Arabia for equipment that needs a tough, grippy, non-marking surface. Polyurethane rollers are made by casting PU onto a steel or aluminium core, giving a roller that resists abrasion, cutting and oil far better than rubber while protecting the product it carries. Hardness is chosen for the job, from soft grip rollers to hard load rollers.

Beyond rollers, we supply polyurethane wear-resistant parts in Saudi Arabia such as scrapers, liners, sleeves, seals and shaped blocks, either machined from stock PU rod and sheet or cast to a drawing. Existing worn rollers can also be stripped and re-covered with new polyurethane.

Can you re-cover my existing rollers?
Yes. Roller cores in good condition can be stripped and re-cast with new polyurethane to the original or a revised hardness.

What hardness should a conveyor roller be?
Drive and grip rollers are usually softer (around 60 to 80 Shore A); load and guide rollers are harder (90 Shore A and above). We can recommend a grade for your load and speed.

Do you stock standard PU rollers?
Common sizes of rollers, wheels and castors are stocked in Dammam; custom rollers are made to order.

For custom work, we need the core dimensions or the finished roller size, the polyurethane thickness, the required hardness, the load and speed, and any exposure to oil, water or heat. Re-covering is a cost-effective option for larger rollers: the old covering is removed, the core is prepared and new polyurethane is cast and ground to size. Cast parts such as liners, scrapers and sleeves follow the same process, and smaller parts can be machined from PU rod and sheet held in stock.
